Remembering the Information Super Highway!

This isn't a story or a poem. Just sharing some thoughts.

Lately I have been really excited. I remember when I was a kid, maybe six or seven years old, reading about the world wide web and how it "...will change the world!" I imagined myself talking to people from around the world. It brings to mind an old ride (Although it has been changed a bit, the same ride is still there.) at EPCOT Center which had a scene where an American boy was talking to a Japanese girl over the internet. They could see each other through video and they were typing in their own languages, with the text being translated on the other side. They called it the "Information Super Highway."

I have to stop myself from taking this computer stuff for granted. It is pretty easy to overlook how complex it all really is. Right now I am using a laptop that is more powerful than the IBM mainframe that my dad use to code when he was studying programing at MDCC in the late 70s. (He can't even turn on his iMac now.)

I'm writing about this because I can... I'm done writing for now. I guess I am leaving this incomplete.
